My mother was hospitalized at St. Joseph's Medical Center in Stockton for 2 days. My mother worked at Kaiser for many years and she has a very high standard for medical care; it was definitely exceeded. Her nurse during the day, Ashley, was one of the most phenomenal providers we have ever experienced. My mom had septic pneumonia and was there for a couple of days. During the day that Ashley was my mom's nurse, she went above and beyond to maintain good communication with my mother and myself. She answered any questions that we had and also was extremely helpful in contacting my mom's doctor, as well as her dietitian. She also brought me water while I was there and came immediately every time my mom needed any help. She was able to make my mom laugh and start feeling better.

My mother was discharged yesterday. Ashley was no longer assigned to my mom's room, but she came by in the morning to check on my mom. She also stopped by when my mom was leaving and wished us the best and just overall was extremely kind and considerate. It was a stressful day and a few days, and she made us feel more comfortable and confident. On the car ride home, my mom could not stop talking about how nice she had been and how much she had appreciated her. Ashley absolutely deserves recognition for her excellence in care. You have an amazing employee in her and an awesome nurse, and everyone should be more like her.
