Ashley O'Quinn 2, BSN, RN

I have been so impressed with her drive and commitment to not only her unit but to the entire hospital! There have been multiple times she's come to check on my staff during times I am not available, and completely un-asked. She goes above and beyond for patients that aren't even under the care of her department. Most recently, I was so impressed with her thoughtfulness with a breastfeeding patient, who was transferred to our ICU. She and a group of nurses realized she was a breastfeeding mom and comprised a schedule to help her with pumping breast milk while she was incapacitated, and unable to do it for herself. That is selfless leadership in looking out for the whole patient, not just the medical need or emergency.
