My 90-year-old mother arrived at Piedmont Fayette Hospital to the unit with confusion and psychosis. Audrey gave extraordinary care to my mom. Instead of sedating her during her most confused times, Audrey used orientation and calming actions to relax my mom. Her attention to my mom's fears and understanding other behaviors my mom had made all the difference in the world. Audrey served as a great patient advocate. She informed the physicians of my mom's reaction to treatment. She shared with me purposes of medications and side effects. Audrey is an outstanding nurse and an asset to Piedmont Fayette.
