I've witnessed Audrey go out of her way and stop what she is doing to fulfill patients' smaller requests.
Audrey is an extraordinary nurse. She is very kind, compassionate, a team player, a nurse that you would want to have taking care of you or your family. Audrey recently cared for a member of our community who came in as a cardiac arrest and unfortunately died in the ER. She met with the family: a wife and children. She was incredibly touched by them and felt the need to help the family in any way she could. She reached out to her ER family and asked for donations to help aid this family, thinking that we would be able to get her a gift card to cover a week's worth of groceries. In a little less than 24 hours, the department raised over $1000 for the family. She presented this gift to the family and let us all know what relief and gratitude they had.

This is just one example of how Audrey is deserving of the DAISY Award. She routinely goes above and beyond the call of duty as a nurse to provide compassionate care to each person she comes in contact with. Thank you, Audrey, for all that you do and for being a shining beacon of light in the dark world that we are currently living in.

I've sat in arrival for hours and listened to how Audrey interacts with patients. She demonstrates patience and kindness even in difficult situations. I've witnessed Audrey go out of her way and stop what she is doing to fulfill patients' smaller requests (example: blankets, ice, some water to drink, etc.). When frustrated patients approached her she kept a positive and low tone when speaking to them and explained to them the situation in a kind and helpful manner.
