Audrey Willkom, RN

Audrey's patient, Mr. X, a 77-year-old man, was her patient on our floor. He had a procedure done that day, and he bid her goodbye and told her, "I don't know if I can come back again". Audrey took the time to explain the procedure and went above and beyond to make sure the patient felt comfortable and that everything would be alright. He was brought to ICU after the procedure and then discharged. The patient returned to the hospital at a later date and was admitted to the 5th floor. During this admission, he was asking about Audrey. He shared that Audrey made an impact on him and highlighted how caring and compassionate she was. He appreciated how much time she spent trying to make him feel comfortable when he was worried and also shared that his family felt the same way about Audrey.
