Betie's caring and compassion for patients and families go above and beyond. She takes the complexities of this challenging unit in stride and consistently shows great patient-centered care. She treats her patients and family members with professionalism and respect, making sure they are part of the care and decision-making process. Betie puts patient needs first and goes above and beyond nursing care by always answering questions and explaining things in depth so patients and families know what's going on and what the plan is. We are lucky to have Betie as a member of the 5SA Team and truly appreciate everything she does for our patients, families, and staff.

Betie was able to get through to my son, and they became buddies. He was cooperating with her more than he would anyone else. He also would communicate to her with smiles and thumbs up. She had a warm personality my son really appreciated. She also saw I couldn't leave the room due to COVID-19 rules and brought food for me. She didn't have to do it, but she did, and she didn't want any payment in return. She made me feel comfortable and made my son laugh at her jokes.
