The importance of family helped Bijaya create a loving atmosphere for an older adult who experienced a lengthy hospitalization isolated from family during the Christmas holiday. Finding the patient tearful and lonely during the holiday, Bijaya sat at the bedside holding hands with the patient and talked about spiritual family warmth and love when they could not be physically present.
