I had a patient who was very ill. This patient needed to transfer and also needed blood. Blake went and got the blood for the patient and started the transfusion so I could take care of the paperwork and reporting. Blake helped me expedite the transfer of this ill patient all while having his own team. Blake has a constant positive attitude. He has joy when he comes in, and it definitely helps the mood of the team. He is always willing to help others despite what he has going on.

Since starting in the ED last July, Blake has been a welcoming and kindhearted nurse who will answer any question I have. He is always willing to help out with any tech work whether that is cleaning rooms, collecting trash, or changing a patient, and never complains. He is the first one out of his chair when an ambulance is coming in or when another co-worker needs something. Also, Blake always is one to say please and thank you (which means so much) when he asks you to do something for one of his patients. Blake's kindness towards me and other staff is also a great reflection of his patient care. He is always going above and beyond for his patients making sure they have the best experience possible in what could be the worst time of their life.

Overall, Blake is a wonderful person and an even better nurse. I am proud to call him my co-worker, and he is a true DAISY Nurse.
