October 2012 Honoree
bob mayton, RN
Bob’s clinical skill and especially his compassionate care exemplify the kind of nurse that our patients, their families, and our staff recognize as an outstanding role model.
One patient writes: “Bob always took anything I told him seriously. Once when I had just switched meds, I thought my tongue was swelling. He checked it, told me this was not normally a side effect and sent me back to group. Twenty minutes later, Bob came back to me with more information about the medication and side effects. It surprised me he was still researching even after the matter had been dismissed….impressive!!!”
Common words used to describe Bob by patients are caring, kind, compassionate and funny. Bob’s name is always listed on patient satisfaction surveys as someone who listens and makes a difference. Thank you Bob for living our mission of providing behavioral health care with compassion, dignity and excellence!
