Brad recently cared for a difficult patient. She was ultra-needy and manipulative. Despite her behavior, he treated her kindly, honestly, and respectfully. He also worked diligently to protect her from herself as she struggled with issues of drug abuse. Brad is a new nurse, and his actions were a great example of the compassion and concern for humanity that we all strive for as nurses.
Thank you, Brad, for being a role model that many of us needed to see.
