Brenda Karana, RN, Assistant Nurse Manager

Brenda Karana provides exemplary care for our patients in the Electrophysiology Lab every day. Brenda embodies the mission of Corewell Health and provides compassionate, extraordinary care for our patients on a regular basis. I have never met someone as selfless as her in healthcare and she works hard every day to make sure our team, our physicians, and most importantly, the patients, have everything they need and get the great care they deserve. I have seen Brenda go above time and time again. She is always calling patients and following up with them after their procedures to make sure they are doing okay and that they have all their questions answered. She is always an advocate for the patient, no matter what, and speaks up when she has questions and concerns. She is a great communicator with her team, the various physician offices, leadership, and with patients and families. She also loves to have fun with the team and is constantly doing things to recognize the staff and celebrate birthdays, milestones, etc. She is always supportive of the team and helps guide and mentor them to help them grow professionally. I can't say enough great things about Brenda and what she brings to this hospital.
