I would like to nominate Brenda Zolnik for the DAISY Award. Brenda went above and beyond to coordinate a special case for a patient who needed sedation due to extreme claustrophobia. We do not normally do these cases, and she went above and beyond to help with this case. For the same patient, Brenda helped bring special calming distractions, music, and essential oils to make a calm, therapeutic environment for her. Brenda always exhibits care with an especially gentle touch. She shows compassion every day in her care and communication with her patients. The most recent special story is just one that I could have shared. Brenda shows everyone, including fellow coworkers, exceeding care and compassion. I feel like she always has her patients and coworkers in mind. It is always a pleasure to work with Brenda. We always know that patients will be taken care of with her. Brenda is thoughtful and exceptional.
