Brianne was just awesome in how she cared for him and for me. As things started to go down a one-way street, she was close by my side when Dad took his last breath and did all she could to comfort me.
Recently my dad came into the ER not feeling very well. Ended up that he was much sicker than we knew and unfortunately passed away. While in the ER Brianne was assigned to my Dad early in the evening. He was alert and a little obnoxious, to say the least; Brianne was cutting up with him and doing all she could to calm him down and make him comfortable. As the night went on Dad's condition became more and more serious. Brianne was just awesome in how she cared for him and for me. As things started to go down a one-way street, she was close by my side when Dad took his last breath and did all she could to comfort me.
In a really tough time, she was an angel to us. I am thankful for her and how she treated us. She is an amazing nurse and person; God sent her to us when we needed her. Two weeks later in the ER with my mom, Brianne took time to check on us; you just don't see that these days. She deserves much more than the DAISY Award, but this would be a great way to honor her for the way she cares for patients. My guess is this is how she handles most of them.
