"Bri is the embodiment of family-centered care. We had a patient with a genetic condition which was not compatible with life. She helped create keepsakes and mementos for the family and involved the siblings and grandparents in spending time with B by holding her before she passed. Bri even had a friend go purchase a special outfit for B to wear as we did not have any large enough with our prenatal bereavement supplies. Collaborating with her to make this life of 3 days full of love and meaning was a privilege. The day after B died, Bri came in on her day off to make sure the proper arrangements had been taken so the parents could take their baby home. She did not leave their side the entire day, even after B passed, sitting beside them like family. Her description of B's final hours was beautiful and I know how much of a positive impact she had on the family and that they will never forget her. She turned a tragedy into a beautiful and meaningful experience for everyone involved."
