Nurse Brittany "Rae" Schwartz was a truly incredible nurse to our baby "E". Her quality of care was superior to even some of the other staff we've interacted with. From the first day she was attending "E" on her day-shift, she noticed that we needed to redo the IV on our two week old child. Even though they are tough to do, she recognized the need to redo the IV and personally sought out the right provider to perform the IV again for "E."

On another occasion during the same stay, a provider ordered the tripling of IV fluids for our child. Upon review, she felt something was off about this order and sought clarification, which led to the provider correcting the order. While she trusted the provider's order, she made sure to verify as her intuition told her it was off, and fortunately, the error was caught and corrected, thanks to her.

Finally, on another occasion during the same stay, she noticed that we hadn't received any updates from the doctors on the status of our daughter's care and got a doctor herself to review the chart and eventually realize that our child was ready to be discharged. Her attentiveness, diligence, and empathetic manner truly made a challenging experience an enjoyable one, and while we wish to never go through such an experience again, it is something we will remember fondly and positively, thanks to Nurse "Rae." There is no one we can think of who truly deserves this award more than Nurse "Rae." Thank you so much for all you've done not only for "E" but for my wife and myself during our stay.
