Brooksie has been my mom's recovery RN both times in the past year that she has had digestive health procedures. Brooksie is always compassionate, personal, and very attentive to my mom. She has great personal skills, engaged mom in social discussions to ease her concerns. Both times she took the time to listen to mom as she asked questions and gave very easy to understand instructions. Probably what was the most impressive is just how relaxed and engaging Brooksie is. Her sense of humor, her stories, and her way of sharing created comfort and calmness for Mom as she was trying to wake up and get oriented. The whole time Brooksie was assessing, documenting, and monitoring the department's business...and it was busy!
As a nurse, I was impressed. As a daughter, I was comforted. Brooksie is very deserving of recognition. She is our hero!
