We were admitted to the hospital to give birth to our stillborn baby. Given the circumstances, we didn't want to be there, but somehow, Caitlin managed to keep us calm, provide outstanding care, and remind us that we were not alone. I truly don't think we could have made it through our hospital stay without the compassion and love she presented us with. She was steady and calm when emotions whirled within us, gentle enough to guide us through the pain yet stern enough to keep us pushing forward when we felt like giving up. Her kindness radiated through her, and her smile lit up that dark room every time she walked in.

She reassured us she was there no matter what we needed, even if it was just a fresh cup of water. She laughed with us, she cried with us, and she wiped away my tears as she hugged me and reminded me that I was strong and could get through this. Caitlin helped us through one of the most heartbreaking moments of our lives, and for that, she will forever be etched into our hearts. I thank God he sent her to us that Saturday - she saved us more than she'll ever know. There's not a day that goes by where I don't think of her and how she carried us through. The world is a better place because of her - and I'll forever be thankful our paths crossed.
