Cameron Johnson, RN

Cameron is a core charge nurse on our unit. He also teaches and mentors our cardiac monitor technicians. He consistently goes above and beyond for his coworkers and his patients. You can frequently find him checking in with patients throughout the unit on night shifts. He is always willing to be flexible to help the team and ultimately provide the best care we can to our patients. Cameron does his best to continually increase his knowledge so as to help his team do better every day and willingly shares that knowledge. He exemplifies what every leader hopes for in their staff. Many patients have given kudos to him for his ability to listen to their needs and act accordingly. He advocates for patient care in difficult situations. Cameron wears many hats for MPCU, he started his career as a PCA and then as a monitor tech, now as an RN and charge nurse. He continues to fill in as monitor tech during this short staffing. Cameron is a true DAISY Nurse.
