My husband was admitted to St. Joseph's for his second heart attack within 2 weeks. After a remarkably quick visit to the Cath Lab, he was brought to the 5th floor. He was there for 4 days. Carina was his nurse for 3 of those days. He was very uncomfortable from the CPR and Carina did everything to alleviate his pain. He had a headache, she brought him a cold towel; his chest hurt, she gave him hot packs and lidocaine patches. Most important to him she made his bed comfortable. She was very attentive to his needs, answered all his questions, and went out of her way to explain things. She gave him all the attention he needed, and he never felt she was ever rushed.
