Carl Ignacio, RN

Carl is a DAISY Nurse for being a compassionate, caring, and knowledgeable nurse. Several of his patients report to leaders that he takes time to listen carefully and clearly explain the care he provides. Carl builds a deep sense of trust with patients, which is of the utmost importance on this unit. Several patients are on chemo, very weak and scared. His compassion for these patients helps their confidence and willingness to keep fighting. Carl anticipates the needs of his team and always steps up to assist. He will call the unit even when not on schedule to see what he can do and is always ready to provide coverage, both as lead and bedside nurse. What’s really remarkable about Carl is his ability to fill everyone’s cup with joy. He is a warm spirit who brings out the best in everyone and just loves providing care to patients.
