Carla Marcello provides extraordinary care to the critically ill patients and their families in the Cardio Thoracic Unit every day. Carla is energetic, has a positive attitude and demonstrates professionalism which compliments her ability to "do the right thing" with each patient interaction. She serves as a role model for new nurses and commands the resect from her colleagues. Carla demonstrates her clinical excellence by maintaining certification in her specialty (CCRN) and sub-specialty (Cardiac Surgery).

In Carla's mind, the patient comes first. She will protect this mission at all costs. Carla is an RN that is empowered with autonomy to assist patients and their families to maximum health status. Carla takes time to educate coworkers, patients and family members during a critical time of health care healing. She is a registered nurse that promotes the health and well-being of individuals. She is essential to the community of healthcare providers at North Shore University Hospital.
