My dad had emergency surgery late at night. We were anxious as my dad has many pre-existing health problems and an emergency colostomy was scary for all of us. Nurse Carly was very attentive, professional, kind and paid attention to detail. She was very detail oriented and we felt very comfortable with her care and attention.
Carly even made sure my mom, who is in her late 70s, had a comfortable cot to sleep on. She even put sheets on the cot for her and provided a pillow and warm blankets. She provided a comfortable chair for me and made sure our needs were met.
Before surgery, she told us she was new but was going to read up on how to take care of a fresh colostomy patient. She was great! My family and I were very grateful for her attentiveness and care.
She is definitely a positive influence on her patients and staff.
