Carmen was supportive and compassionate, she encouraged me to process my emotions as they came up.
Not only did Carmen do a phenomenal job taking care of me physically, but she also helped me emotionally cope with my birthing experience going nothing like we had planned or hoped for. Although I was hoping for a purely physiological process, it seemed I needed medical interventions at every turn. Carmen was supportive and compassionate, she encouraged me to process my emotions as they came up. I was able to grieve and let go of my birth preferences and be present for the experience I was actually having. Thirty hours of difficult labor later we welcomed a healthy baby. Thank you, Carmen, for your extraordinary level of care.
