Carol was extraordinary! My dad started on Hospice the middle of June. She was not our original nurse. Our 1st nurse went on vacation and Carol took her place. My dad and I both wanted her permanently and she became our permanent nurse. Carol almost felt like a family member. My mom became really sick and she too was placed on Hospice. So both mom and dad were on Hospice together. Mom was only on Hospice for 5 days but Carol came every day and walked with us through mom's death. Then two weeks later Dad passed. Again, Carol was here every day toward the end. She asked us to call her when it was getting close to the end, even if it was her day off. She made it clear that she wanted to be the one here walking us through until the end. She didn't want someone we had never met to come. Like I said, she was like a family member.
