Carrie Hooten is amazing with all patients and family she encounters. In whatever role she is doing that day, she is promoting teamwork, good communication among all, rounding in all of her rooms, and closing the loops on patient care needs and concerns. This nurse treats every patient like they are her priority.
Carrie was assigned four patients that were really sick. She was very well informed about the patients, assisted the nurse with labs, contacted the MET nurses to come see two of the four patients, bounced back from both rooms to keep track of the patients' progress, and when she got five minutes she went and rounded on the other fourteen patients and their families. She quickly responds to the staff, suggesting next steps, and instills confidence in our patients that they are always in good hands. Carrie provides an environment of care.
