Carrie was professional, courteous, down-to-earth, compassionate and I considered it a luxury service to be in her care.
I drove up from Bloomington and arrived at the Greenwood OrthoIndy location at 5:30 am for a left-side hip replacement. I am a fairly young person to need a procedure like this, so I was definitely uneasy walking in the building. Each person I met with along the way was helpful, polite, and great at what they do.
After leaving the recovery area and going to my room for the night, I was placed into the care of Carrie McKee, RN, and her CNA. Both of these women went above and beyond my expectations to make me feel comfortable during my overnight stay in the hospital. Maybe I didn’t know what to expect since it has been 20+ years since I have stayed in a hospital, but these two women were professional, courteous, down-to-earth, compassionate and I considered it a luxury service to be in their care. I spent most of the afternoon with them on the day of my procedure prior to their shift ending. The evening nurses were also very competent, caring, and professional individuals but I definitely looked forward to the next morning when Carrie would return. I received the kind of care from these two that will make me tell any and all of my family/friends to visit OrthoIndy for any related services they might need. And yes, it was worth the trip up from Bloomington to receive such compassionate, competent care. I hope the OrthoIndy administration recognizes these women and appreciates their contributions to building and maintaining an exceptional medical practice.
