Carrie made a special bracelet just for her on her first time seeing her new baby brother through the glass. The paper bracelet meant more than a million dollars to a 3-year-old.
My son had to stay in NICU for several days so his 3-year-old sister could not meet him. She didn't understand why mom and baby weren't coming home and had questions that we could not answer. She did notice the patient bracelets and knew as long as we were wearing them we weren't coming home. Carrie made a special bracelet just for her on her first time seeing her new baby brother through the glass. Carrie explained her questions so a 3 yr old could understand. The paper bracelet meant more than a million dollars to a 3-year-old.
Fast forward to 2020 - I ended up having an unexpected surgery. Carrie was amazing at helping to get it scheduled. She made the entire process from scheduling to returning to work effortlessly on my part. Carrie has the ASPIRE values that we look for in employees and caregivers for our patients and loved ones. I have been so impressed by the way she goes above and beyond.
