We have had two patients on our floor for almost three months. Both very sick, but doing better. Our patient, M, was celebrating her birthday. She unexpectedly had a trach + PEG placed. This admission made her very sick. Our other patient, T, has been here for chemo and fighting AML. To pass time, he has a keyboard and plays songs for family and nurses. Cary had both patients and bought a card and balloons for M's birthday. She then arranged for T to stand outside the room and play "Happy Birthday" on the keyboard while all the nurses gathered around and sang. It was such a special moment for all involved especially the patients. It was absolutely beautiful and meant so much to the patients, their families, and the nurses.

Cary is a sweet and caring person and a wonderful nurse. She genuinely cares about her patients and their family. Her skills as a nurse are excellent in both her knowledge and deliverance. She takes care of her patients with compassion and also shows concern. Aside from treating patients wonderfully, she checks in on the family as well. She asks the visitors if they need anything and always makes sure they are doing okay.
