I recently had a four day stay in the Memorial ICU after emergency heart surgery due to a damaged aorta from an automobile accident. During my stay I received outstanding care from all of the doctors and nurses at your hospital. However, the standard of care provided by Casey Littlefield was simply of another level. Beyond knowing and executing the nuts and bolts of her job, she was extremely caring and compassionate. No request went unacknowledged or forgotten despite the hectic work environment. Many times she anticipated what I might need before I could ask for it. Casey took the time to listen to my needs and displayed a type of empathy that is rare but yet was extremely valuable to my recovery.
