Cassandra found herself with the assignment of caring for a young patient who was admitted with a very preterm pregnancy with complications. The gestational age, had she delivered, would not have been compatible with life. While the patient was here for the week, Cassandra cared for her each day, working and educating her to help keep her pregnant while she was here, and continued to keep in touch with her and her family. Eventually, the patient was transferred to a higher level of care facility. She eventually delivered and continues to share updates with Cassandra. The bond and support that she provided to this patient and her family left a lasting and positive impression. The patient’s testimony raved about not only the care Cassandra gave her but also the education and efforts she took to help keep this patient pregnant.
