December 2019 Honoree
catherine green, RN
My husband was admitted for one of the scariest seizures he has had to date. I had just finished working a double shift at my job (I am a nurse also). When I came to the emergency room to be with my husband, Cat immediately took notice of my exhaustion. She brought me a cup of coffee and a blueberry muffin without asking me, she made sure I was comfortable as well as my husband.
Cat showed kindness and compassion throughout the entire visit. My husband is not the happiest person when he wakes up in a hospital bed after a seizure and is often difficult to deal with during the postictal phase of his epilepsy. Cat showed him nothing but kindness; she brought him warm blankets and was so patient with his grumbling! She kept a sense of humor and a smile, bringing me comfort in a very stressful situation. Coming from a nurse-she did a top-notch job! Thank you.

Thank you, Catherine, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
