Ambulatory Nursing honored their first DAISY Nurse Leader Award to Cecile Jalandoni, MS, RN, CNS, and Ambulatory Practice Consultant. The spirit of the award is to recognize and to appreciate the compassionate leadership provided, creating an environment of care that truly makes a difference in the lives of our staff, our members, and their families.
In her role, she develops and enhances professional nursing practice, provides nursing and scope-of-practice resources, advice, and consultation for nursing and non-nursing managers throughout our large and complex medical service area. She identifies topics that are related to nursing practice, bringing important practice questions and challenges before nursing leadership, or leading discussions with frontline nurses during the monthly Nursing Practice Teleconference and Ambulatory Clinical Practice Committee.
Cecile is passionate about personal and professional development, and embodies a servant leadership approach. She is viewed as an Architect of Nursing Professional Practice; using the Head, Hand and Heart as a compass.
