Charity was amazing! She provided my grandfather with the most exceptional care possible while he was in the hospital. She literally brought life back into him. He told me while he was in the hospital that Charity cared for him as if he was her father. She is a nurse who did not give up on him no matter how bad his condition was. He said Charity was the only nurse who would walk him around the unit and follow his progress even when she wasn't assigned to him.
Charity truly embodies the spirit of nursing and our family cannot thank her enough for saving my grandfather's life. There is no doubt that Charity went above and beyond to ensure he was cared for properly. She worked tirelessly to save his life. My grandfather's oxygen levels were incredibly low when he arrived in the hospital and he was anxious. Charity was able to calm him and my family down during the worst times. While Charity was nurturing and calming, it is also important to note that she was so knowledgeable and honest. Because of this, she was able to provide the best care possible and lead him on the road to recovery. When my grandfather struggled to breathe and his oxygen was low, she knew exactly what to do. When he called for the nurse on the call button, she came right away. She made our family feel secure when we were anxious and offered encouraging words while being honest at the same time when things weren't going well with his health.
Charity persisted in ensuring he was 100 percent comfortable with going home. She wanted him to be his best self not just at the hospital, but at home as well. While all of the nurses are wonderful at Memorial, we've never had one quite like Charity. She is truly special and Memorial is lucky to have her on their team. She is not one who is showy or has a big ego, but I can tell you that she does have a big heart and amazing healthcare knowledge. The combination of those two things can save lives, just like they did for my grandpa. Thanks for everything, Charity! You are appreciated more than you know!
