Cheney cared for my grandpa his final day that he spent in the CVICU before he passed away. We had caring nurses throughout the duration of his stay, but Cheney stood out in the care she provided to my grandpa and family. We have a large family (no less than 10 family members but up to about 20) that remained at the hospital for the majority of visiting hours, and Cheney has the patience of a saint. She really took the time to make sure my grandma and all family members were cared for and informed about my grandpa's condition. I have never seen someone care for a patient as thoroughly and attentively as Cheney did and we felt she was rooting for his recovery just as much as we were. Grandpa's last day was his best and he had the most progress made, which made it so much more difficult to process that he passed. The amazing team coded him for 45 minutes and gave it their all to bring him back. Even though he didn't make it, our family is grateful for the efforts of all involved but especially the empathy, compassion, and comfort provided by Cheney. In our family's opinion, Cheney is a great asset to the PeaceHealth team and someone you would want taking care of your loved one. She is the best example of what it means to be an exemplary nurse who truly has her patient's best interests at heart, is extremely knowledgeable in her field, and shows immense compassion to patients and their families alike.

Thank you, Cheney, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
