It is such a daunting feeling to have to bring your family member into the emergency department. I brought my husband in, he had been having a lot of health issues. Cherese was my husband's nurse. From the second she stepped into the room to introduce herself, her smile comforted us. I thought to myself, I made the right decision. She explained everything that would take place. She was so friendly and professional. She was able to answer the majority of our questions, and when she didn't know, she made sure the provider came and answered any other additional questions that she could not. Cherese kept us updated throughout the visit; she checked on us, asked if we needed anything each time before leaving the room, and just made our overall visit pleasant. She went above and beyond. Although my husband ended up getting admitted, she reassured us that the next nurse would take great care of us. I so happened to ask her how long she had been doing this, and I was extremely shocked. She said it had only been two years. Her bedside manner made us feel as if we were her only patient! I could tell that she loves her job just by the way she treated us. She is truly something special with a heart of gold. I would not have wanted anyone else as our nurse.
