Cheryl is approachable and supports members of her team in a way that is nurturing while inspiring confidence in each staff member.
As the pandemic continues to surge on and off – it is truly appreciated to have a leader in our organization like Cheryl Kleisley. She is always willing to aid other areas struggling with staffing and or meeting patient needs. She is committed to the patients and the clinical team members to ensure the organization provides a safe and conducive environment for quality and safe care.
Cheryl has led the way by connecting with the local schools. She welcomed students even during the pandemic who needed to complete their clinicals and by doing this she was able to hire two of the medical students to Valleywise Health clinics. She is a constant source of contact with the community educators and embraces the arrival by being the point of contact for this site.
Cheryl is accessible to her colleagues, leadership, and team members. She always offers up help and solutions to situations. She is visible to the team members and physician partners. As a nurse leader, Cheryl is approachable and supports members of her team in a way that is nurturing while inspiring confidence in each staff member.
Cheryl brings solutions to problems and strives to encourage the team to be involved as well. She brings years of experience to the role and uses her experiences to solve new situations in a concise and effective manner. When asked to help cover patient infusion needs Cheryl quickly identifies staff who would be good fits for the role. She herself learns about the expectations and provides the team with good information to make decisions.
Cheryl has always advocated for her team members and goes as far as collaborating with other leaders to ensure improvements to the clinical environment experienced by all team members.
Cheryl keeps her leadership aware of situations or upcoming struggles that may impact the provision of clinical care. She works to bring solutions to the situation and is an active participant to achieve a positive outcome.
Cheryl participates in rounding on the staff to recognize and support the team members across all the clinics. She works with patients and families to achieve a resolution to concerns or help ensure the care required is provided within the organization or through referral to the outside. She shows support for team members who seek career growth by mentoring them toward the desired goal.
