Being in the hospital during a pandemic is hard. But being in the hospital over Christmas during a pandemic is almost unbearable. Knowing this, Cheyenne sprang into action to bring joy to our patients by bringing homemade cards from children who attend Caravel Autism House. Cheyenne even recruited her significant other’s niece and nephew to make homemade cards written in Spanish for our Spanish-speaking patients. Cheyenne’s compassion and thoughtfulness have brought immeasurable joy to our patients. There was even a patient who had graduated out of Critical Care who asked for the Christmas card to be placed in his line of sight as he enjoys looking at the homemade card so much.
