Chris Aldridge was nominated by the daughter of one of our patients. She shared the following: This nurse is special because he holds a gift to help others. The care that I personally saw him give to my father was more than I could express. I was able to leave knowing and believing Chris's words when he would tell me my dad would be okay. He was very forward and most respectful in a way you don't see a lot. I am just Thankful for the care that my dad received…”

When we called to follow up on the nurse who cared for the aforementioned patient, the daughter stated, "Oh it's funny that you called, I was just thinking about Chris" (he truly left a lasting impression). She also shared with us that while her father did pass while hospitalized, Chris gave her that “mustard seed size of faith" that she needed.

Chris’s manager shared with us, “Never judge a book by its cover. Chris is a highly compassionate nurse; he is an incredibly kind and caring gentle giant. He has grown and excelled in the ICU environment. In code green situations (aggressive patients) he has a gift for creating a calmer environment, and being able communicate well, brings people together. Chris is also a team player; he never hesitates to jump in and assist his co-workers before he is even asked. As a director, Chris is the type of nurse you want on your unit and caring for your patients."

Thank you, Chris, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
