Christi has been absolutely amazing in her care for our twins, specifically C. C has now been in the NICU for over 3 months, so we have spent a considerable amount of time there and although the NICU is not our home, Christi has made it feel as “normal” as possible. From the very beginning she started making scrapbook pages for the boys to document their first few months. She even set up a whole “Christmas photo shoot” so we could send out family Christmas cards. She was the first nurse that was willing to arrange all of C’s tubes to get him out of his bed so we could hold him for the first time. She took it upon herself to assist us in coordinating C’s care, since there were numerous doctors and nurses involved, even making (on her own time) an “Everything you need to know about C” book to put at his bedside to help nurses when they had him for the first time. She always made our family feel welcome, and she has done a remarkable job in educating us in caring for C - trach care and all. If we could, we would take her home with us to continue in caring for C. We truly appreciate her skill as an RN and her love and compassion as a person caring for our son.
