Christy was our nurse throughout the labor, delivery, and recovery of our second child that started out as a very stressful experience. When my water broke, there was a higher risk due to meconium in it. When I called my usual hospital I was told that they were full so I was sent to Watsonville Hospital as a back up. When I got there I was stressed being in an unknown place with a possible risk to the baby but then Christy arrived! As soon as I was in the room and prepping for labor, I met our nurse Christy and was immediately put at ease. Christy was able to answer questions and concerns in an honest way that put you at ease. It was like having a good friend next to you the whole time. Even though this was my second delivery and more stressful initially, Christy made it one of the best experiences I’ve ever had at a hospital. I was also amazed at how hard working Christy was. It seemed like the 3 days I was there she was always working and there when I needed anything. We want to nominate Christy because she made our experience incredible. Having a new baby can be stressful but she enabled us to feel comfortable and confident the entire time.
