Christine provided spiritual guidance, encouragement, and reassurance that gave me the courage that I needed to struggle through this depression from this whole ordeal. The knowledge she possessed during my recovery invoked confidence in me, plus the way in which she cared for me uplifted my spirit. From the Wife:

Christine's incredible knowledge of a serious neurological condition and deep human concern for her patient was so warmly felt and appreciated by our family. My husband dropped into a deep depressive state and questioning "What is the use of even caring to want to get better?" I was unable to talk him out of this scary state, I asked for Christine's help. She moved in calmly and started to convince my husband of the value of his life and healing power of his body. At this point, she asked if she could pray with him, and through her calming words with him, he began to calm down and shortly following her talk and prayers, he fell asleep. The next morning he was so grateful for the inspiring talk and prayers, he has never mentioned despair or hopelessness again, and has been moving with enthusiasm through each day of his recovery and rehab.
