The care my husband B received from the entire nursing staff was phenomenal, but I would like to make special mention of Nurse Christine, since she was the one mostly on duty during B’s stay. She truly was an exception. She made us feel like we were more family than patients. She always checked to see if our needs were being met and when she was going on a break or going home. She was careful to double-check B’s medications, making sure what he was taking at home and at the hospital were current and any changes made by the physicians.

In one particular case, Christine drew blood from B and was sensitive to drawing from his already bruised arms and was able to draw from his hand being ever so gentle. B didn't feel a thing. I was grateful the hospital allowed me to be at my husband’s side and Christine as well as the other nursing staff made sure I was comfortable and ordered my guest tray. Christine exemplifies what a true nurse should be and is demonstrated in her gentle care for all her patients. She helped to make B’s hospital stay a positive experience.
