Since early December our son has been in PICU and Cindy has served as his nurse for a good deal of that time. She has always demonstrated great skill and knowledge while also showing compassion for all of us, his family. For instance, she saw that I was exhausted and falling to sleep but was very cold, so she brought in a warmed blanket and placed it over me. That really meant a lot that she noticed.
Cindy also makes certain that we know exactly what is happening with our son each step of the way and she watches out for him and us even when she isn't assigned to him particularly for that day. She has truly been a beacon of hope.
