Cindy is the definition of a nurse! She provides care to her patients with her entire heart and truly loves and enjoys every minute of it! I hear nothing but great things about Cindy from everyone she comes in contact with. She is highly respected by her peers and truly adored by her patients and families. Below are just a few examples and highlights of the compassion Cindy shows day in and day out. We are blessed to have her on our team!
"Mrs. Cindy not only fulfills her duties as a charge nurse but goes above and beyond! One night recently we had several female patients in the ICU. Mrs. Cindy took time out of her night to make sure that each one of them had their hair washed, brushed and fixed! The one that touched my heart the most was my patient who has the mindset of a 12-year-old and is obsessed with her hair and hair bows. Cindy placed the prettiest braid in her hair that has lasted for over a week!! The look on the mother and father's face when they woke up to see this was absolutely priceless!! Some people may think that it is just hair, but these two parents knew that this patient would LOVE it if she were able to see it!! It was a simple gesture but it spoke volumes to this family!! They are still talking about her hair to this day! Mrs. Cindy is the perfect example of the WOW factor!! So thankful for her!!"
"To All the Awesome Nurses, we are in awe of the many hats you wear, thank you for bearing the burdens that we bear. As I have been sitting here with my family, I am so very appreciative and blessed that we have nurses and doctors like you! You all have made our stay a little bit easier because of your kindness, your smiles, and your open arms to help any of us with whatever we needed. This picture is one of the nurses tonight who washed J's hair, combed it and fixed it for her. You have compassion beyond measure, and we cannot thank each of you enough! Thank you Colquitt County Regional! You're awesome! *By the way, I did get permission from this nurse to take her picture. I was so moved by what she was doing. I just had to capture it!"
"Cindy came to my rescue when complete chaos was hitting the fan. This was the first time I got to witness my patient deteriorate in a matter of minutes. Cindy showed me the type of nurse I want to be. If she was nervous it didn't show; however, I was. It was a smooth transition. That night and all nights I am grateful to work alongside Cindy."
"There is so much I would like to say about Mrs. Cindy, this one word just sums it up for me is WOW. This lady you'll never know if she's overwhelmed, sick, or hurting she doesn't let any personal problems get in the way of going above and beyond to take care of her patients and lend a helping hand to her co-workers, and most of all I never have to remind her to come to sign off on the floor strips. Well, I just know when I see Mrs. Cindy on duty that we all will be taken care of just as she takes good care of her patients."
"Mrs. Cindy is a joy to work with. She is a true role model and a very hard worker. She is always willing to help others without hesitation and does so with a smile, no matter the task. She has a very kindred spirit and is an asset to our unit. I just wanted to let her know that her hard work and kindness do not go unnoticed."
