Claire is an exceptional nurse with a very high level of empathy demonstrated to each and every patient she cares for. Claire regularly supports ‘A’ who is a very complex paeds patient who has behavioral needs in addition to her very high level of medical care needs. ‘A’ has been hospitalized long term in various hospitals and her psychological needs are high as a consequence. Claire will always offer to care for ‘A’ and ensures she takes her time to explain slowly and carefully ‘what is next’ to A.

Claire has developed a fantastic rapport with ‘A’ who often talks about Claire and what they do together while Claire is distracting 'A' from her often difficult /painful/scary procedures. Claire is the example of the very best. All of the team who work with Claire have only positive things to say about her. Claire is always willing to help colleagues whenever needed in a planned way or in an acute unplanned situation.
