I had surgery in the BE Ambulatory Surgery Clinic. This marked the beginning of a long journey with healthcare. After all the procedures and people I have encountered, I still remember Corky. She prepped me for that first surgery. Her kind, easy-going manner was just what I needed at that moment. She even played along with my sense of humor and jokes, along with that warm blanket she placed over me. She probably did all these things without giving it a second thought, but they relaxed me and prepared me for what was truly a journey into the unknown.

Our adult Sunday school class recently focused on the importance of letting others know when they made a true difference in our lives. I’ve often thought over the years that I should figure out a way to thank Corky for her service, and this was the boost I needed to put my thoughts into action. Thank you.
