We would like to commend Cortney Waters for her excellent nursing skills. My mother came to RIO from MVH for rehab after breaking her arm and fracturing her back. Mom is blind and being away from the comfort of home and family is nerve racking. Cortney made my mom feel at ease. Her warm, fun, and caring personality made mom feel good when I wasn't there to be with her. Cortney became family, she always announced herself coming into the room which put a smile on mom's face. Cortney was never in a hurry- no matter how busy she was- she always made sure mom was comfortable and would always ask if anything was needed. She would explain to us what was going on and never made us feel like we were bothering her with dumb questions. Cortney is a wonderful, sweet, and caring nurse.
