Courtney Acampora, MSN, RN
Courtney is the type of leader who goes above and beyond for her staff. She does it because she cares about them each as an individual and not because she has to.
Courtney provides a haven for her staff. She has an open-door policy in which all the staff on 2West know they can go to her with things. Whether it is work or personal, she makes herself always available. When asked if she has time for something, Courtney’s answer is always “Yes.”
Courtney has created an environment of respect and engagement amongst the member of her unit. For example, Courtney promotes the use of the Unit-Based Council on 2West. She believes that the work being done should be changed by those doing the work if possible. She encourages staff to be involved in UBC, hospital committees, system committees, and the career ladder.
