My 95-year-old mother was hospitalized for extreme pain of undetermined origin. The entire nursing staff on our wing was very kind, responsive, and helpful to all of my family. I can say that Curtis was the best. He checked on Mom throughout his shift; he answered all our questions; he did some research on his own trying to understand what a supposed cancer meant for her; he was extraordinarily kind and pleasant and best of all, supportive. The doctor did not always answer my questions about the progress of her pain management. Curtis encouraged us to insist that the doctor listen to our concerns and bring in additional experts to do additional tests to help us know how to handle Mom’s future care. He advocated for her and we truly appreciate his work. He is a credit to this hospital and we feel very lucky to have had him taking care of our mother. He is the epitome of what a good nurse should be. Thank you. We really appreciate you!
