It is truly hard to find words that can accurately discuss Cindy - Angel, Compassionate, Patient Advocate, Caring, Professional, Informative, Proactive, Personal Connection, Patience, Understanding, and Responsive are just a few. Cindy has cared for me as a patient and my wife several times over the last two hospitalizations. The first time was over Christmas, a time when most people would be less than happy about working. She was never anything but positive, kind, and compassionate. She never missed a beat, always responsive, timely, but most importantly, always caring. She is proactive and utilizes critical thinking always. Above all else, the personal connection she makes is genuine and heartfelt. She goes above and beyond to make the experience the best possible. She always asked my wife if she needed anything. She always managed up her co-workers, building confidence, and trust in the care we received. Cindy clearly loves helping others.
Nursing is clearly a calling for her, not just a job. That seems to be increasingly rare these days. My wife and I know this, as between us we have 80 years of nursing experience. Cindy is a role model for all nurses, and to anyone in healthcare. Her qualities are part of who she is and the values she has. This can't be taught or forced. Medical City Lewisville is so fortunate to have her as part of their team. We are thankful, appreciative, and proud to know her and to have her care for us. Mostly, we are honored to be recipients of her compassion and kindness.
